Jenny Bassett, MEd., EdS
My name is Jenny (Keller) Bassett and I began working as a School Psychologist in 1990 when I moved to Hagerstown, MD to complete my psychology internship with Washington County Public Schools (WCPS). Upon completion of my internship hours I was hired by WCPS as a full-time School Psychologist, serving the North End schools of Fountaindale Elementary, Paramount Elementary, Potomac Heights, Northern Middle School and North Hagerstown High School for 18 years. My husband and I moved to Colorado in 2009 where I served as a School Psychologist for 5 years with Lewis-Palmer School District (LPSD) in Monument, CO. The ties of family and the west winds blew us back to the East coast in the summer of 2014 and although I would never have thought I would land back in my old position, all the stars aligned and as fate would have it I returned to WCPS in December of 2014. I am currently supporting the same North End schools that I had previously called “home” minus Potomac Heights Elementary. It’s good to be back!
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education (BS), a Master of Education degree in Educational Psychology (MEd) and a Post-Master Educational Specialist Certification in School Psychology (EdS), all from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). I love all aspects of my job but have particular interest for the areas of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders and Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS). My primary role as a building School Psychologist includes evaluation of students to determine learning strengths and weaknesses necessary for special education identification and consultation to parents, students and staff.
I live west of Hagerstown with my husband Nat and our dog and cats. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends, hiking with my husband and our dog, and cooking.
I am here to support the students, families and school staff of the North End. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance. I can be reached by phone at 301-766-8258 and by email at [email protected]

I am beyond excited to be a part of the WCPS school psychology team. I am currently the school psychologist for Old Forge Elementary, E. Russell Hicks Middle, South Hagerstown High, and Washington County Tech High. Prior to joining the school psychology team at WCPS, I was a school psychologist in Washington County, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh, PA) for seven years.
I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in elementary education services from California University of Pennsylvania. I earned my Master of Science degree in school psychology and post-graduate educational specialist certification from California University in 2012. Since graduating I have worked within the school setting supporting students of all ages. While I enjoy working with students of all ages, I find elementary aged students my favorite age group. I strive to build meaningful relationships with all of my students and their families.
On a personal note, I have three boys and a cavalier King Charles spaniel who are the center of mine and my husband's universe. I also enjoy spending time with our families, running, and watching college football (Go Canes). Please don't ever hesitate to contact me at [email protected] if I can be of assistance.

Sharon Conley Ed.S. NCSP
I have been a practicing school psychologist for over 30 years, including my years in WCPS and 6 years previously in Orange County, Florida. I earned a B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis on child development from Central Michigan University. I earned a M.S. in Psychology, and then an Ed.S. in School Psychology from the University of Central Florida. I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Professional organizations of which I am a member include the Western Maryland School Psychologists Association (WMSPA), the Maryland School Psychologists’ Association (MSPA), and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
I currently provide school psychological services to Ruth Ann Monroe Primary School, Eastern Elementary, and Hickory Elementary. Evaluating students to determine their learning needs continues to be my primary role. Of particular interest to me is working with school-based teams to problem-solve around students who exhibit challenging behaviors and social/emotional difficulties. Social and emotional dysfunction, and its impact on behaviors in the classroom, is becoming more and more evident in very young children and a major barrier to learning. Until we address these needs for our students, academic achievement is likely to be hindered. On a larger scale, I provide consultation to schools for developing school-wide systems that promote and reinforce healthy emotional functioning and appropriate behavior of students. I serve on the Behavior Student Support Team at two schools to which I am assigned.
Outside of work, my number one choice for how to spend leisure time is simply to be with my family, immediate and extended. I also enjoy walking/hiking, boating, travel, reading, and quiet time for spiritual reflection.
Contact Information: [email protected], Eastern Elementary at (301)766-8122, and RAMPS (301)766-8668.
